We truly owe our veterans a debt of gratitude for their selfless service while fighting for our freedom. For this reason, we must provide assistance to both our recently discharged veterans transitioning into civilian life as well as our older veterans in need of health care. I have also been working to ensure that that our troops, deployed overseas, have enough time to cast their votes as studies have shown that thousands of troops do not have ample time to vote absentee.
Michigan can never fully repay the enormous debt we owe to these brave men and women, but we can help to secure a life of dignity, honor, and appreciation that they and their families deserve.
